A complementary therapy blending Yoga Nidra and Reiki.

Yoga Nidra is a practice of ‘Yogic Sleep’ – although the term is not necessarily correct. During Yoga Nidra the body of the practitioner is completely relaxed but the mind is still alert.

Yoga Nidra offers the opportunity to connect at a conscious level to the innate intelligence and intrinsic wisdom that exists within each and every one of us.

Research conducted on benefits of Yoga Nidra shows that it can help with PMS symptoms, depression and anxiety and insomnia and also one research concluded that practicing 30 minutes of Yoga Nidra for 90 days stabilised blood glucose levels in people with diabetics. Also researcher claim that it can elevate symptoms of PTSD.

Yoga Nidra is a deeply restorative practice and brings the client into the liminal space between sleep and waking, the state when subconscious mind can be accessed and therefore has a potential to awaken a capacity for healing, creativity and manifestations of our heartfelt desires.

Reiki (‘rei’ – universal, ‘ki’ – life energy) is a complementary therapy in a form of energy healing technique which transmits subtle energy through the healer‘s palm into a client. The hands can be placed on or just above the body. The placement of the hands corresponds to chakras – subtle energy centres in the body.

In the session you might want to choose to focus on a general well-being as a whole body healing, or spend more time on certain areas of the body where there might be some discomfort or blockage. Reiki is believed to restore energy balance and vitality. Energy medicine aims to help the flow of energy and remove blocks. Reiki practitioners believe that improving the flow of energy, so called “energy clean up” around the body, can enable relaxation, relieve pain, speed up healing, and reduce other symptoms of illness.

Ashka is combing two powerful complementary practices. Yoga Nidra will help you to relax, surrender and become receptive to receive Reiki healing energy and to activate an innate process of healing and transformation.

Crystals or breath work may also be used in the session.
Ashka offers 60, 90 or 120 min sessions.
