What Is Satvik Energy Healing

What your emotions can do to your bodyÂ

Traditional Chinese medicine accepts that your emotions affect your body. I love practicing Satvik Energy therapy which uses this system and I never know what I’m going to get with clients!

What is it? The first thing most people ask me when I tell them I do Satvik Energy Therapy is ‘what is it?’ Well, it’s a specific type of energy healing. During a treatment, you lie down and relax while I work over your body to realign the energy system. I do this using your meridians which are energy channels. (The same channels are used in acupuncture and reflexology). Most people are aware of Reiki which is also an energy therapy. Unlike Reiki, Satvik energy therapy focuses on pulling blocks out of the energy body.

Example treatments – This week I’ve seen several clients and this is what I found:

Client 1 – Spleen energy was very low. This can be due to a compromised immune system (which is was in this case). It can also be due to a lack of joy in life. Spleen energy is linked to motivation and appetite for life in the Chinese tradition.

Client 2 – Lungs contained an energy blockage. Client burst into tears at the end of the session and didn’t know why. Lungs hold on to stuck grief or feelings of loss. So unblocking this area can cause a release in the form of tears.

Client 3 – Feet energy is very scattered. This can happen when someone is very busy, doing too much, like they’re on a hamster wheel. Ways to help this yourself is to get out for walks in nature – preferably barefoot!

Client 4 – Liver energy disrupted. This can be due to stuck anger or resentment about something. Or it can be physical toxicity, for example too much alcohol or ciggies (as it was in this case) or a cocktail of pharmaceutical drugs.

How can Satvik help? It is particularly beneficial for if you have just lost a loved one. Consider it, if you are going through a relationship break-up. It is very useful during or following any emotionally challenging time. It is also wonderful when recovering from an illness or operation. It helps boost the immune system and energy levels during chronic illness or when you feel depleted or drained.
