Ashka Dzierzek

For Ashka, yoga is not about being bendy or able to touch your toes. She considers it to be a philosophy and a state of mind. For her it is a practice of awareness and kindness towards ourselves and others. In her opinion we practice yoga to calm the mind in order to connect with our heart; strength and flexibility are mere side effect of something more profound that is going on.

About the event

Awaken gently into spring through movement, intention, reflection, Nidra, sound and rest. A Vernal Equinox gathering of balance.

Vernal Equinox marks a moment of balance – equal light and dark – and the gentle turning point from winter’s stillness into spring’s movement and growth.

This 2-hour embodied gathering is an invitation to awaken softly, rebalance your nervous system, and reconnect with your inner rhythm as the light returns.

Through somatic movement, intuitive yoga, breathwork, intention setting, Yoga Nidra, and sound, we’ll explore what it means to rise without rushing – allowing energy to circulate, clarity to emerge, and new intentions to be planted with care.

This session will support you to:

  • Gently awaken the body after winter
  • Restore balance between rest and movement
  • Reconnect with your sense of direction and inner alignment
  • Plant intentions for the season ahead
  • Deeply rest and integrate through guided Nidra and sound bath.

No prior yoga experience is needed. All practices are offered with options and an emphasis on listening to your body.

You’ll leave feeling centred, lightly energised and grounded – carrying forward what has been resting beneath the surface, ready to grow in its own time.

Please bring: a journal, pen, water and anything that supports your comfort. Props, mat, blankets. bolsters will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothes as we will be spending time on the floor.
