Dana Day

Dana Day at Float Spa Hove

At Float Spa in Hove, we believe that wellbeing should be accessible to those who need it most, regardless of financial circumstances. That’s why we created Dana Day in July 2022 a community-driven initiative where individuals facing financial hardship can pay what they can afford for floatation therapy, infrared sauna sessions, and a dedicated yoga class.

The word “Dana” originates from Sanskrit and means “giving generously” a principle deeply rooted in kindness, community, and selfless support. Inspired by this philosophy, Dana Day is our way of making holistic wellness more accessible, offering a space where those experiencing chronic pain, mental health challenges, or difficult life circumstances can find relief, relaxation, and a moment of care.

Since launching Dana Day, we have seen firsthand the transformative effects of regular floatation, infrared sauna, and yoga sessions. Many individuals have reported reduced pain, improved mobility, and better mental wellbeing with some experiencing such significant improvements that they have been able to return to work, regain independence, and reclaim their quality of life.

While we may not be able to change every circumstance, we can provide a supportive space for healing and self-care, helping those in need take meaningful steps towards feeling relaxed, restored, and revitalised.
