Suze’s passion for Pilates began in 2018. On a quest to find a form of exercise that complemented her running, elevated her mental wellbeing, strengthened her body and core, and felt gentle and nourishing on both her body and nervous system, Suze quickly fell in love with Pilates when it ticked every box. During lockdown, Suze leaned into her practice online as a form of self-care and daily structure whilst home schooling and working from home. She soon noticed how much brighter and more energised she felt on the days she woke up early to squeeze in a session of Pilates.
When she found herself at a career crossroads in 2023, Suze decided to take her passion from hobby to profession. She took the plunge into Pilates teacher training and qualified as a Mat Pilates instructor in early 2025. Suze is deeply passionate about the power of Pilates and the rich spectrum of benefits it offers everyone. She feels grateful to share all she has learned with her clients through chair Pilates, mixed-level mat classes, Pilates with weights, and 1:1 sessions. It’s really important to Suze that everyone she teaches feels comfortable, confident, and happy in her classes — and challenged within their own bodies, rather than comparing their progress to others. She aims to achieve this through individual feedback and encouragement from the heart. From the moment she qualified, Suze began teaching weekly alfresco classes in her local park and hired a studio room to teach friends and family, which soon led to friends of friends joining in.
Her confident, creative cueing, imaginative and playful class plans, and genuine enthusiastic approach help everyone leave her classes feeling lighter, brighter, and, most of all, happy they made some time for themselves.
