Yoga for Athletes class is for all those who run/climb/cycle/weight train — or do any other sport really. It is aimed at people who are already fairly fit from using the body in other disciplines. We will work at a pace that is suitable for those new to yoga, and work up a sweat through carefully planned sequences and held poses, before slowing down to calm the mind, which helps with mental focus and to let the body rejuvenate. We will mindfully strengthen where needs it and stretch out those areas that store tension (hands up who ‘forgets’ to stretch out after training!)
