SANKALPA = an intention formed by the heart and mind — a solemn vow, determination, or will.
It can be helpful to set intentions every few months, not just at the beginning of a New Year. That may be through creating your own vision board, having a mantra that you repeat to yourself, or meditating on a theme specific to you, it helps to declare to yourself (and perhaps others) what you wish to aim for in your personal or professional life.
We will begin with a sound bath with the lovely and skilled sound therapist Ruth Summers, to help become more present and relaxed and let go a little of your roles in life and tune into YOU. After a brief break, we will continue with a gentle and slow yoga practice, using a chosen Mudra (symbolic hand gesture) to ingrain your Sankalpa, and closing with a meditation whilst you lie in Savasana. (This workshop is very suitable for pregnant yogis or newly postnatal as Lucy is a pre- and postnatal exercise specialist.)
This will be very similar to the ‘Slowness, Stillness and a Sound Bath’ workshops that Lucy and Ruth have led twice this year.
