This final benefit of detoxification is also experienced when Floating. Physically because the Epsom salts in the tank draw out toxins and mentally as you are removed from all external stimulus for a while which gives your brain an opportunity to reset.
However, this blog is not about how water purifies you but rather how you can purify your water. Your body is about 60% water and the majority of your blood and every cell in your body is composed of water. This is important because there is evidence to suggest that water is effected by the vibration of words.
Dr Masaru Emoto was a Japanese author and researcher. He photographed water crystals and studied how their molecular structure transformed after being exposed to different words. The results are astounding. The water crystals observed in a jar that had words such as peace, love or happiness taped to it were symmetrical and beautiful. Water exposed to words like hate, anger or sadness formed disfigured crystals.
Emoto’s experiments included photographing water before and after Buddhist prayers were recited over it. He discovered that the intention and vibration of these prayers changed the shape of the crystals. The implication of this research is interesting. If water is so influenced by sounds and words, how are humans affected at a cellular level by the things we say and the thoughts we think?
In the realm of holistic health positive affirmations are often recommended to help us change our habitual way of thinking. Repeating phrases silently to ourselves like “I am at peace” “I flow in harmony with life” are a good way to override our toxic mental patterns. Perhaps their power goes deeper, actually cleaning up our DNA? Imagine all the water molecules in your body forming intricate beautiful patterns due to the words you are using.
In my Vital Development groups I use carefully chosen language and specific music to guide participants into different emotional experiences. Always focusing on positive states such as joy, freedom and love. I am fascinated by the images of water crystals taken after being exposed to music. This picture is the visible result of Air on a G string by Bach. A piece I love and occasional use to dance to during my Friday night sessions at the Float Spa.
The implication this work is simple – be mindful, kind and gentle in how you speak to yourself and others. Dr Emoto advocated the pursuit of beauty in all things.
